Martin Minute Superintendent Summary - November 2021

Dr. Andrea Martin

Superintendent, Greenland School District

01 November, 2021

November!  A time to reflect on all of our blessings!  A time for thanksgiving.

I am thankful for all of our families, staff and crew, thankful for all they do!

November seems to always go so quickly, and before you know it we are in the holiday break season! Classes will be released for early dismissal on Friday, November 19th instead of Wednesday, the 17th and then classes will be out November 22-November 26.  We hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving week!  As Football and Cross Country wind down, Basketball will be in full swing, so be sure and check school events; they can be found on our District Calendar located on our website.

Although COVID cases have decreased lately, we are still encouraging vaccines and mask wearing as the top two mitigators against the COVID virus.  Our Board voted to require masks when the ACHI.net data shows we are in the red or purple range, currently as I write this we are in GREEN, which is GREAT! Please continue to practice good hand washing and monitoring of symptoms, as we also enter Flu season!  You can continue to monitor the status of cases on our COVID Dashboard.   IMPORTANT: If you or your child have been exposed or have any symptoms at all, please call our COVID point of contact, at 479-225-6341.

If you have any other questions please let us know and as always, we have many resources available if you need anything!  Our Pirate Pantry as well as our Essential Outreach program is ready to help, especially during this time of year….let us know how we can assist.  ALL means ALL!

If you don’t have the Greenland School District app or subscribe to our notifications you need to today! You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING PIRATE NATION!
