Read Across America Week is February 28th - March 4th, 2022. GSD will be celebrating Literacy all week with amazing guest reader videos, special activities, and prizes, all based around the theme of SNOW! Students will receive packets to bring home that include at home activities. All of the exciting activities and videos for the week will be posted on social media and the school district website. No celebration is complete without a dress-up week. Students and staff in all grades Pre-K-12 are encouraged to participate. Monday: Snowed In - PJ Day Tuesday: Timber Tuesday - dress up like a Lumber Jack - wear those flannels Wednesday: Winter Wonderland - wear winter gear Thursday: Let It Snow - wear all white (snow) Friday: Fan Friday - Winter Sports Edition - dress up like a winter athlete or wear your favorite winter sport jersey

Our final CTE teacher to be featured this month is Mr. Kinsey. Mr. Kinsey teaches Computer Science with an emphasis in programming, cyber security, and robotics. He is also is our E-Sports coach and Technology Student Association sponsor. #CTEMonth #WorkingPirates

Career and industry based occupations that Mr. Bramall's classes/pathways can lead students to are welding, electrician, carpenter, HVAC technician, mechanical engineer, heavy equipment operator, maintenance/service technician, animal physical therapist, small/large animal veterinarian, animal nutritionalist, sales representative (food, seed, feed, fuel), agronomist, entomologist, greenhouse manager, landscape technician, and soil/weed scientist. #WorkingPirates #CTEMonth
